A W E (2015)

A W E (2015) hopes to expand one’s consciousness through a reflective narrative that is complemented by moving images of dramatic hills, mountains, oceans and people captured throughout the artist’s journey across India. It attempts to re-create the feeling of recollecting memories – often times a result of chopped up threads of many vague images pieced together – blurred but clear all at the same time.

Metaphorically represented in the form of the exploding screen made up of multiple sheets that is hung from the ceiling in angles that adds depth and scale. Enhancing the feeling of surroundedness which one gets when overwhelmed by the sheer grandeur of Mother Nature.

The play on perspective encourages the audience to walk through the piece – reliving the moments and steps of discovery in the artist’s journey throughout the film.
